GNSS for a Changing Planet: Advancing Science and Resilience with IGS Products
GNSS for a Changing Planet: Advancing Science and Resilience with IGS Products
Session ID#: 248415
Session Description:
The International GNSS Service (IGS) provides high-precision, openly available, multi-GNSS products supporting a wide range of scientific and societal applications, including surveying, environmental and climate change, real-time geohazard risk reduction, space weather, and progressing positioning technologies. The IGS remains at the forefront of global geophysics through enhanced multi-GNSS integration, improved atmospheric and ionospheric modeling, and ever finer geodetic precision. As global and regional GNSS constellations evolve (including BDS, QZSS, and NavIC), advancements in receiver networks, data processing, and machine learning continue to expand the potential of IGS products. This session invites contributions highlighting the latest scientific advancements leveraging IGS data. Topics include multi-GNSS methodologies for geophysical and environmental applications, GNSS-based climate resilience, ionospheric and space weather monitoring, early warning systems for natural hazards, and AI-driven improvements in GNSS data analysis. We welcome presentations exploring new frontiers in GNSS-based science and contributing to the ongoing evolution of IGS products and services.
