Unearthing Earth's Resources: Geochemical and Spectral Innovation Across Geoscience Disciplines

Session ID#: 248773

Session Description:
This session invites contributions that showcase innovative applications and integration of geochemical and spectral techniques across the geosciences, with a particular focus on relevance to understanding, discovering, and sustainably mining Earth's resources. We aim to bridge the gap between traditional ore deposit studies and broader geological disciplines by highlighting how advanced geochemical and spectral methods provide critical insights into diverse Earth processes. We encourage submissions from researchers exploring the use of tools in areas such as magmatic systems, hydrothermal processes, basin analysis, tectonic environments, geomorphology, and environmental assessment demonstrating their potential to inform mineral exploration, resource characterization, and remediation strategies. We particularly encourage contributions from researchers working on systems, technology and data analytics aimed at support of critical mineral exploration and development.  By fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, we seek to attract a diverse audience and cultivate new collaborations that can advance the science and technology of resource exploration and sustainable development.
