Session Proposal: Transforming Agricultural Futures: AI, Remote Sensing, and Sustainability Science (AGU25)

GC104
Transforming Agricultural Futures: AI, Remote Sensing, and Sustainability Science

Session ID#: 251176

Session Description:
Agriculture is increasingly shaped by climate variability, land-use pressures, and resource constraints, challenging the sustainability of food systems worldwide. Advances in remote sensing, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) offer powerful tools to monitor, model, and manage agricultural landscapes with greater precision and insight. We invite submissions that examine the integration of satellite-based remote sensing, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to advance sustainable agricultural practices. Areas of interest include the use of remote sensing for monitoring crop conditions and detecting land-use changes; development of AI/ML models for yield prediction and efficient resource management; and the fusion of datasets to inform decision-making in diverse agricultural contexts.
