Frontiers in Comprehensive Geomagnetic Field Modeling and Uncertainty Assessment: Enhancing Advanced Applications Including Alternative Navigation

Session ID#: 252248

Session Description:
Geomagnetic field maps and models are pivotal in diverse applications, including magnetic anomaly navigation and predictive analytics. Holistic understanding of the geomagnetic field requires advances in: space and surface-based measurements, high resolution models of core, crust, and external fields, and innovative applications of machine learning and AI. In particular, quantification of measurement and model uncertainty is a key requirement for the effective use of geomagnetic models.  We welcome contributions that drive advances in data collection, modeling, and applications, including uncertainty quantification and novel use cases across land, sea, and planetary domains. Submissions from academia, industry, and government are strongly encouraged. Whether theoretical or applied, instrument- or AI-driven, your work can help shape the future of geomagnetic science and its real-world impact. Presentations demonstrating interdisciplinary collaboration and applications are especially welcome.
