Session Proposal: Aeolian Processes Across the Solar System (AGU25)

EP002
Aeolian Processes Across the Solar System

Session ID#: 254527

Session Description:
The signatures of aeolian processes are observed on a wide variety of planetary bodies across the Solar System. A combination of theory, models, observations, and experiments conducted here on Earth provide a framework for interpreting extraterrestrial aeolian activity. In turn, observations on other planetary bodies often challenge our understanding of fundamental aeolian processes, calling for new, refined theory and models. This session welcomes submissions from across all disciplines focused on windblown landscapes, including (but not limited to) sediment transport, bedform and aeolian morphodynamics, the aeolian rock record, dust, and coastal environments on Earth and other planetary bodies throughout the Solar System. Cross-cutting theme and innovative approaches to instrumentation, theory, and experimental work are encouraged.
