This session welcomes cutting-edge research and practical applications at the dynamic interface of atmospheric science, ecosystem processes, and renewable energy development. It invites contributions encompassing ground-based in-situ observations, satellite and ground remote sensing technologies, reanalysis datasets, and innovative advancements in process-based numerical models, machine learning, and hybrid data-physics approaches. These state-of-the-art tools are driving transformative improvements in the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of solar and wind energy forecasting, fine-scale resource mapping, climate change impact assessments, environmental impact assessments, and risk mitigation for renewable energy systems.
