Convergent Perspectives on Water, Energy and Carbon dynamics over the US in the Coupled Human-Earth System

Session Description:
The Humans and Hydroclimate in the US (H2US) is a GEWEX Regional Hydroclimate Project. H2US aims to bring together the observational, modeling, Earth system and social science communities to advance the state of the art and our predictive capabilities to better characterize the water, energy, and carbon cycles in a human driven Earth system. Submissions are invited that explore co-design, inter- and transdisciplinary approaches to water cycle related science for a better understanding and quantification of water resources and availability now and in the future. Presentations that explore and use methods to evaluate, improve and integrate existing surface observational networks across regional to continental scales, in the context of terrestrial-based and spaceborne remote sensing, to support and advance the integrated Earth system modeling of the water-cycle, and regional, national and global operational weather and hydroclimate monitoring and modeling efforts are especially welcome.
