Wildfire Commons: Collaboration, Integration and Innovation for a Wildfire Resilient Future

Demand is growing for wildfire data integrated in space and time. Improved modeling and computational methods are also needed to understand fire behavior, risk, and impacts on coupled human–natural systems. These needs arise from more severe wildfires, changing climate and vegetation, and the demand for decision support in mitigation, response, and recovery. However, dispersed data, limited interoperability, and workflow barriers still constrain progress.
The Wildfire Commons is a national-scale cyberinfrastructure designed to serve as a centralized platform for integrating and streamlining access to wildfire data, models, and expertise. Its primary role is to connect datasets, services, and AI models to computing workflows, and facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration. Wildfire Commons provides a unified environment intended to improve discovery and increase the use of available wildfire solutions.
We encourage the community to participate in this session to share the latest research, AI workflows, and innovative collaborations furthering wildfire response and resilience.
