Solutions for Integrated Energy-Water Resource Management

Session Description:
Energy and water systems are interdependent, for supporting drinking water needs, power production, and multiple industries (e.g., mining, agriculture, and data centers). As demands continue to grow, more research and development is needed to advance solutions that ensure future energy and water resilience. This session invites presentations for convergent research and demonstration projects that advance regional solutions at the intersection of energy and water systems. This includes water for energy, energy for water, and cross-sector applications. Solutions can span technologies, systems modeling, infrastructure innovations, operational strategies, planning tools, market mechanisms, financing approaches, and governance models that improve reliability, affordability, and security of energy-water resources. This session will provide an opportunity to discuss and share insights about systems science, implementation pathways, key partnerships, and metrics for success critical to effectively developing, designing and implementing regional energy-water solutions. We especially welcome presentations focused on existing solutions that have benefited communities.
