Advancing climate adaptation within the blue economy is critical for safeguarding coastal ecosystems, human health, and sustainable livelihoods. This session explores integrative approaches that connect climate resilience, marine resource governance, and One Health framework. The interdependence of ocean health, biodiversity, and coastal communities will be emphasised. We invite contributions examining how climate stressors, such as sea-level rise, ocean warming, acidification etc., are reshaping fisheries, aquaculture, tourism, and coastal infrastructure, with cascading effects on food security, disease dynamics, and socio-economic stability. We also seek interdisciplinary perspectives that incorporate Indigenous knowledge, community-led adaptation, and equity-centred policy design to address vulnerabilities across diverse coastal regions. We also encourage contributions highlighting modelling tools, decision-support frameworks, and cross-scale governance mechanisms. The session will foster dialogue on translating science into actionable policy, strengthening partnerships among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers, as well as advance understanding of how adaptation in the blue economy can support resilient socio-ecological systems.
