Session Description:
The growing availability of open environmental and health data, combined with advances in geospatial analysis and artificial intelligence, is transforming how environmental health challenges are studied. Across scales, from local to global communities, these tools enable improved characterization of environmental exposures, identification of vulnerable populations, and more informed decision-making.
This session invites contributions that use open data, geospatial methods, and emerging analytical approaches to advance environmental health research and practice. Topics include spatial analysis of environmental hazards, integration of environmental and health datasets, remote sensing, community-engaged data collection, and development of accessible data platforms and visualization tools.
Contributions that emphasize real-world applications, open science practices, and translation of data into actionable insights for communities, practitioners, and policymakers are especially encouraged. This session aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue across environmental science, geography, and public health.
