Time’s Arrow: Anchoring Events, Trends and Rhythms in Earth History

Session Description:
This session highlights advances in dating, stratigraphic correlation, time series analysis, and other statistical methods applicable to improving our understanding of the evolution of earth’s climate, biosphere, and geochemical makeup over the past 100 million years. Research and data compilation efforts related to biostratigraphy, magnetostratigraphy, chemostratigraphy, astrochronology, and radioisotopic dating are all welcome. We also invite submissions focusing on new methods to harmonize paleoclimate records among locations and through time or comparing results across methods or environments (e.g., marine vs. terrestrial).
