The societal benefit of Earth science is realized when Earth Observation (EO) data are integrated into operational natural resource management. While scientists continuously develop advanced EO datasets, a critical gap remains in translating data into practical use by decision-makers. Bridging this gap is essential for monitoring water resources, securing food supplies, and tracking forest change. Inspired by interagency collaborations like the Applied Earth Observations Innovation Partnership (AEOIP), this session explores the intersection of EO science and operational U.S. land management. We invite submissions demonstrating operational impacts of applied Earth science, including: 1) Scientific applications utilizing EO to support forest, watershed, rangeland, and resource management; 2) Data needs assessments for land management and resource monitoring agencies (e.g., USFS, BLM, USGS) to inform future missions; and 3) Case studies and capacity-building frameworks overcoming barriers to technology adoption. By connecting scientists with practitioners, we aim to drive actionable solutions for resilient stewardship.
