Joy is not peripheral to our science education and engagement efforts—it is evidence of it. This session centers belonging, accessibility, justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (B-A-JEDI) as living commitments within Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences (EPSS) education and outreach, inviting contributions that reflect on what it means to build learning spaces where people can fully arrive and thrive.

We welcome work celebrating collective agency and genuine belonging across formal and informal education, community partnerships, and transformative media and storytelling. We highlight participatory, innovative, and culturally-relevant approaches including arts-based methods, Indigenous and place-based knowledge systems, AI-enabled engagement, multimodal pedagogy, and sustained mentorship.

We especially encourage presentations that hold critique and celebration together: naming systemic barriers in EPSS while uplifting the joy and empowerment that emerge when communities are centered rather than accommodated.

Together, we share, reflect, and build an EPSS ecosystem rooted in community, energized by justice, and unapologetically joyful.
