Rock Physics under Advanced Imaging Techniques

Session Description:
This session focuses on studies that integrate rock physics and rock mechanics with advanced imaging techniques, including, but not limited to computed tomography (CT), synchrotron radiation, and proton imaging. We welcome experimental contributions as well as theoretical and numerical studies aimed at analyzing, modeling, and validating experimental data and imaging observations.

We particularly encourage complete studies but also mere technical contributions describing new or improved experimental instruments and facilities, with an emphasis on in situ approaches—where measurements are performed concurrently with imaging.

The goal of the session is to foster the exchange of designs, results, and practical experiences related to the integration of classical rock physics and mechanics experiments with modern imaging methodologies to improve the understanding of geological processes.
