Scientists at all levels from senior scientists to students benefit from training and education in team science, and often find the greatest benefit from education that occurs outside formal educational training. We invite investigators and creators from across fields to share the variety of team science education approaches they have created to build teaming and collaboration skills to address big interdisciplinary questions. As science is changing to address more complex issues, our educational approaches are also changing to provide new types of training to support effectiveness in large, convergent science teams. We invite presentations that share creative new educational approaches, evaluations of team science education workshops, experiential field courses, large team retreats and other educational approaches outside the classroom. This session brings diverse perspectives on developing convergence research and team science training to scientists at any career stage.
