PA11C:
Moving Science into Practice: Communicating, Implementing, and Informing Action eLightning

Submit an Abstract to this Session

Session ID#: 45452

Session Description:
Ever wonder what your science becomes, once it's published and out in the world? Maybe it finds new life as the seed for new scientific ideas, forms the beginning of a commercial venture, or guides local, state, and/or federal management and policy decisions.

While there are many venues for sharing new scientific insights and discoveries, impactful science requires communication about potential applications and broader impacts to society. This session highlights the science-practice interface by engaging both scientists and those working with scientists to demonstrate a range of applications of scientific inquiry. We invite abstracts that showcase examples of concrete steps taken to move the results of scientific research into practice.
