The Lunar Orbiter Image Recovery Project (LOIRP) was a project to recover the highest dynamic range images of the lunar surface from the NASA Lunar Orbiters from 1966-67. Images were recovered from 2" analog instrumentation tapes, recorded at the NASA ground stations during the mission. The images have been delivered to the NASA Planetary Data System.
