River Deltas: Hydrology, Geomorphology, and Sedimentology

Session ID#: 73891

Session Description:
River delta morphology and stratigraphy reveals a complex interplay between river, tides, waves, biota, and sediments. Our understanding of delta form, process, or their vulnerability therefore relies on a cross-disciplinary effort. This session aims for a broad representation of the scientific communities centered around the hydrology, morphology, ecology, oceanography, and human aspects of these systems. We invite presenters to share recent scientific advancements in our understanding of river deltas through new theory, fieldwork, experimental, or numerical modeling.
