General Surface Hydrology and Catchment Science
Session ID#: 77666
Session Description:
This session encourages contributions that celebrate the AGU's Centennial. Submissions can include reviews of historical data and the evaluation of hydrologic processes and methodologies that integrate interdisciplinary collaborations and approaches to understand hydrologic catchments. Subjects may include, but are not limited to: biogeochemical and hydrologic cycling, forecasting, numerical modeling, ground-based and remotely-sensed observations, geomorphic processes, anthropogenic impacts, sustainable infrastructures, hydraulics, floodplain management, and climate. This session seeks contributions from the research, operational, and professional communities that synthesize the science and practice of surface water hydrology and hydraulics in decision support and management in operational settings across multidisciplinary issues. We welcome studies with social, economic, engineering, and policy implications relevant to water resources. Additionally, we encourage submission of abstracts for surface water topics not encompassed by other Fall Meeting sessions, contributions from students and early-career scientists, and contributions that discuss the future direction and needs of our community.
