Data and Information Services for Interdisciplinary Research and Applications in Earth Science
Session ID#: 78783
Session Description:
Making heterogeneous Earth science data easily accessible in an integrated environment, such as online visualization and analysis services without needing to download data and software, is essential to broaden user communities. To date, accessing interdisciplinary datasets is still a challenge to researchers and application users.
This session seeks presentations to describe current Earth science data and information service activities for interdisciplinary research and applications, including tools or data services, existing or in development. Presentations addressing the specific needs and challenges of handling big data with machine-learning or natural language processing, including access to findable and relevant data for training purposes and service development, are highly encouraged for this session. Discussion of ideas/concepts for future data and information services are also welcome.
A Special Issue linked to this session is planned to be published.
