MR027
Rock alteration at multiple scales

Session ID#: 83259

Session Description:
The interaction of out of equilibrium fluids with reservoir rock can lead to significant alteration of the mechanical and hydrological properties. This session invites submissions that explore mechanisms leading to the alteration (mineral dissolution/precipitation) of rocks and examine means of controlling the reaction process. The focus of this session is on recent advances and development in numerical simulations and experimental validations using both rocks and analog materials.
