Abstract:
The Center for the Unified Study of Interhemispheric Asymmetries (CUSIA) was elected by NASA to be a Phase 1 DRIVE center. As the name implies, the scientific goal of CUSIA is to study the effects of inter hemispheric asymmetries and to advance the current global model frameworks to better represent these effects. In this talk, I will discuss the current status of CUSIA research and operations, including a brief synopsis of findings to date. I will also describe the current research directions and particular areas for focus during the remainder of Phase 1. Finally, I will describe how the broader community is participating in CUSIA science areas, and how anyone with interests that connect to CUSIA can become involved with the center and leverage CUSIA resources to enhance their own research.
