Level 2 products from DSCOVR/EPIC observations

Abstract:

This presentation will discuss current DSCOVR/EPIC level-2 products. There are ozone (O3), sulfur dioxide (SO2) for volcanic eruptions, erythemal irradiance, aerosol products in the UV and visible spectral ranges, including atmospheric correction, as well as cloud and vegetation products. In addition, there is the first EPIC ocean product. We will provide several special examples of level 2 products and discuss the specifics of deep space observations for retrieval of cloud, aerosol and vegetation properties. Finally, we will report on expected and unexpected capabilities of EPIC observations.
