Abstract:
California faces epic challenges in resources management in response to climate change. After a decade of collaborative development, a collection of observing equipment, forecasts, and decision support tools have emerged to facilitate meeting this challenge. After reviewing the efforts of the past decade of collaboration, this talk will highlight some of the ideas emerging in multi-platform observing strategies that can help flood emergency response and broader resource management in California. Lessons learned and steps forward will be shared with perspective on how these concepts can be transferred to the broader community.
