Abstract:
In March 2019, Taylor & Francis signed the Commitment to Enabling FAIR Data in the Earth, Space, and Environmental Sciences, developed by the Coalition for Publishing Data in the Earth and Space Sciences (COPDESS), to support and promote the adoption of best practices around open data.

Following our signature in support of the commitment statement we launched a pilot in November 2019 to move a selection of journals to follow the T&F data sharing policy which aligned with the goals of the COPDESS statement. This paper will outline our experiences of implementing a progressive data sharing policy in the following 12 months, from the impact and changes on our systems as well as feedback from journal editors involved.
