Abstract:
To fully understand the atmospheric implications of the COVID-19 pandemic, we require data that describes how human activity (such as mobility, shopping, and economic impacts) changed, in addition to direct measurements of the changes to the atmosphere. Finding this data can take significant time and effort. To support research into the effects of the pandemic, we have established a collection of useful datasets, tagged with metadata to help users discover data appropriate to their project. We have also developed a Python package that can aid in reading the various datasets or convert them to standard netCDF files. We will present a demonstration of the website and Python package, as well as discuss ways that the community can contribute to this project.
