Abstract:
Sunquakes (SQ) have become a relatively common occurrence in photospheric continuum data, however it has been found that these events can express themselves in the solar atmosphere, using observations from the Swedish 1-m Solar Telescope, in addition to the AIA 1600 Å and 1700 Å passbands. Using a recent SQ review paper of Solar Cycle 24, 9 solar flares have been found to possess an appreciable response in data from both AIA 1600 Å and 1700 Å channels, and an additional flare has a clear response in the Ca II 8542 Å data from the SST. I will discuss the implication of these observations on our understanding of flare initiated SQs.
