Abstract:
Kamodo is an open source python package under development at the Community Coordinated Modeling Center (CCMC). It will read, interpolate, visualize, and analyze space weather model output and data. A Kamodofied model is one that potentially unique model readers and interpolators have been developed in python to enable the more general visualization and analysis tools in Kamodo. Further, many of the already Kamodofied models have had their most useful visualization adapted for utilization on the CCMC website. We will demonstrate live interactions with Kamodo via the website for the following models: SWMF (global magnetosphere, ionosphere), GITM, CTIPe, TIEGCM, IRI, Tsyganenko and others. We will also show how Kamodo can pull in satellite trajectories, interpolate from model output, and provide data/model comparison and analysis. As an open source project, the Kamodo development team is encouraging community involvement. That involvement can range from beta testing, suggestions for new features, or new visualization options to new Kamodofied model readers. The Kamodo GitHub site is here: https://github.com/nasa/Kamodo
