Abstract:
The Soil and Water Assessment Tool Plus (SWAT+) is the new generation watershed-scale simulation model, officially released in 2019. SWAT+ was developed to maintain higher level of structural flexibility in module integration and advancement. In addition, new functions have been incorporated to address complex mechanisms on river routing and reservoir operation. In response to the growing demands to resolve potentially time-consuming model calibration tasks, the automatic calibration and uncertainty analysis software Integrated Parameter Estimation and Uncertainty Analysis Tool (IPEAT) has recently been reconstructed for SWAT+ (IPEAT+). However, a user-friendly interface is still desired to gratify the general needs from the SWAT+ users. The proposed work provides free alternative IPEAT+ user interface in two options: (i) traditional PC-based user-interface for automatic calibration (IPEAT+UI), and (ii) web-based IPEAT+ that can be run on the cloud through a web browser (IPEAT+WEB). Users can also take advantage of IPEAT+WEB to generate automatic calibration required settings and control files on the web. [IPEAT+ source code, user manual and the corresponding executable file will be available on the SWAT official website]
