Abstract:
Energy transfer in compressible Hall-MHD turbulence is investigated using a new form of the Karman-Howarth-Monin (KHM) equation. The compressible (as well incompressible) KHM predictions are used to analyze results of two-dimensional Hall MHD simulations of decaying, weakly compressible turbulence. The role of compressible effects are discussed.
