Abstract:
Maryland was an early adopter of ambitious legal climate change mitigation goals, and is proactive in incorporating the latest science in decisionmaking. In this panel, Maryland Environment Secretary Ben Grumbles will describe the state's approach to climate change mitigation, adaptation, and resilience. He will highlight two ongoing projects to incorporate new carbon monitoring science into the state's management of forest carbon stocks and coastal ecosystems.
