Abstract:
The Global Space Based Inter-Calibration System (gsics .wmo.int) is a consortium of 15 Satellite agencies under the aegis of the World Meteorological Organization. For the past several years the GSICS Coordination Center hosted by NOAA/NESDIS has been actively supported by the JPSS PGRR program. The goal of the coordination center is to provide international leadership in bringing together satellite agencies and harmonizing their Satellite monitoring activities. The aim is to build tools and algorithms that can help monitor GEO and LEO satellite in Real Time, detect anomalies and provide correction coefficients.
Recently the GSICS coordination center has lead the development of python platform that can help intercompare any two observing systems, a GSICS product alert system and designate references for microwave instrument monitoring. We would present GSICS inter-comparision products, python platform that we recently setup for inter-comparision and the use of FCDR in microwave instrument monitoring.
This presentation would present the GSICS intercomparision products, the python inter-comparision platform, google cloud based GSICS product monitoring system and the user of FCDR in monitoring Microwave instruments
