Abstract:
Coherent ion-scale wave perturbations are often observed in the solar wind under varying plasma conditions. These waves are one source of plasma heating in the inner heliosphere, and current efforts are underway to characterize the behavior and properties of ion-scale waves to better understand this process. For this work we analyze several instances of wave events exhibiting non-linear rising frequency tones and their effects on local plasma conditions.
