Results from the contribution of the JPL IGS Analysis Center to the 3rd IGS reprocessing campaign

Abstract:
In preparation for the generation of the new International Terrestrial Reference Frame, ITRF2020, a number of analysis centers (AC) of the International GNSS Service (IGS) are currently conducting a complete re-analysis of GNSS observations from 1994 onwards. As for previous ITRF iterations, the JPL IGS AC is contributing to this 3rd global reprocessing effort, focusing exclusively on GPS data and using the GIPSYx software package. This presentation will describe our overall estimation strategy and the geophysical, force and measurement models we used, highlighting and discussing updates and changes since our previous reprocessing campaign. We will present results from the performance assessment of our contribution to this IGS reprocessing campaign obtained from temporal and spectral analyses as well as precise point positioning tests. The set of products analyzed will include orbit and clock solutions, station positions and network distribution, estimates of the frame and Earth rotation parameters, troposphere zenith wet delays and gradients.
