Abstract:
In this work, we present the improvements of PakalMPI a software to compute the statistical equilibrium and solve the radiative transfer equation in 3D in the context of stellar atmospheres. Our code is written in C using MPI library, Julia, and Fortran languages. The model is widely used to compute stellar atmospheres using millimeter and sub-millimeter observations. PakalMPI is one of the software developed by the Interdisciplinary Group of Scientific Computation (GICC in Spanish) at the National University of Mexico (UNAM in spanish).
