Performance Art for the Sciences II: Dance Your Science
Performance Art for the Sciences II: Dance Your Science
Session ID#: 119009
Session Description:
It is frustrating to shoehorn years of research into a 12-minute talk or a poster. Sometimes the medium masks the passion you feel or the exciting implications of your work. There is a solution to this problem. Science Magazine and the AAAS sponsor “Dance Your PhD” for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Social Sciences. Feeling left out? We offer this special session to showcase the creativity of the Earth and Space Science community. Participants from all career stages are welcome to submit videos. You can recruit as many friends, colleagues, musicians, dancers and costume artists as you like, and you must appear in the video. Please submit videos up to 10 minutes in length. They should contain sufficient captioning text (prose, song lyrics or subtitles) to enable the audience to understand the motivation for your research and the findings that bring you joy. We look forward to celebrating your submissions!
