Topics in Atmospheric Electricity

Session ID#: 119336

Session Description:
Atmospheric and Space Electricity arises in fair and foul weather and creates observable phenomena across the entire electromagnetic spectrum. It occurs throughout the atmosphere, from the ground up through the ionosphere, but is not limited to terrestrial origin. This session welcomes abstracts on all aspects of atmospheric and space electricity that may not readily fit into other convened sessions, including fair weather electricity, non-thunderstorm electricity, electricity associated with volcanic eruptions, the global electric circuit, non-thunderstorm effects on space charge in the atmosphere of Earth, and electricity on other planetary bodies. Abstracts discussing any combination of theory and techniques for observations, experiments, and modeling are welcome in this session.
