NOAA’s Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) Program Satellites - Building on the Success of the Past to Prepare for the Challenges of the Future
Session ID#: 120481
Session Description:
This session would encourage presenters to submit presentation abstracts that capture the operational applications of NOAA’s JPSS data and products. Special emphasis will be how the JPSS capabilities can be combined with other Low-Earth Orbiting (LEO) Programs to provide what decision-makers need to help save lives and property. A secondary focus is the continuity of these capabilities into the future. The JPSS Program has begun to work with its users and stakeholders to define the satellite requirements that need to be met beyond the JPSS satellites in current acquisition (JPSS-2 through JPSS-4). A period of discussion of these future requirements will be included in this session. Presenters and session participants will be encouraged to fully engage in this discussion.
