Planetary Magnetism
Planetary Magnetism
Session ID#: 120610
Session Description:
Planetary magnetic fields of various origins allow us to study the internal structure and geologic history of planetary bodies. Magnetic data are typically available from satellites, meteorites, or from the surface and cover length scales ranging from long-wavelength core fields to short-wavelength crustal contributions. In this session we welcome contributions that cover observational, experimental, and theoretical investigations (including method development) of the magnetosphere, crustal magnetism, core dynamics, and other planetary-body internal magnetic sources.
