Earth and Space Science Education: Teaching Within and Beyond the Classroom

Session ID#: 121087

Session Description:
Opportunities for science education extend well beyond formalized instruction or education research. This session focuses on how you can incorporate Earth and space science education into your career path. We will begin with a presentation on different forms of education including K-12 and higher education, informal education, education research, and science communication to the public with an emphasis on how you can get involved. Afterwards we will enjoy a panel-led set of breakout sessions from which you can choose based on your area(s) of interest. Come join us for a discussion of the many ways to educate your community, students, and/or the general public. Submissions for this session include examples of or methods for incorporating education in any of its forms into your career.

Students and early career members are especially welcome. This session is organized by the Student and Early Career Working Group of the AGU Education Section.
