Ocean Art Ocean Science
Session ID#: 121910
Session Description:
Art-science collaboration is increasingly considered to flow in both directions. Art can be inspired by science, but so too, can scientific insights grow from artistic roots. A growing number of programs such as visiting artists, artist residencies, and artists-at-sea, have enabled and encouraged these bidirectional art-science collaborations that connect visual and performing artists, composers, and writers with ocean scientists. This session will gather ocean practitioners from across the scientific-artistic spectrum to share their experiences and the fruits of their collaborations.
