SME Connect: Building Connections with NASA SMD Science Activation to Share your Science with All Ages and Audiences

Session ID#: 122468

Session Description:
This special pair of sessions hosted by NASA SMD Community of Practice for Education (NASA SCoPE) will offer NASA Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and early career scientists across the AGU community an opportunity to connect with a variety of audiences and share their science. Learn more about NASA SCoPE and how to connect with NASA SciAct efforts during our half-day session where you will have the opportunity to talk directly with SciAct team members to bring outreach ideas to life. Then join the SCoPE team in a separate workshop as we reveal how you can receive small grants for collaborative projects with these SciAct teams for 2022.

The NASA SCoPE project is an SMD-funded project through the Science Activation Program (SciAct). The project is intended to create a community of practice that connects NASA SMEs and early career scientists with NASA SciAct efforts, facilitates small funded projects between these SMEs and Science Activation, and develops training and best practices between SciAct and SMEs for engagement.
