Low-cost air quality sensors and their application
Low-cost air quality sensors and their application
Session ID#: 122561
Session Description:
Low-cost air quality sensors are creating a paradigm shift in the field of air quality monitoring. At a fraction of the cost of reference instruments, these sensors can be quickly deployed to characterize outdoor pollutant concentration spatial and temporal variability at various scales. However, they also face many challenges, mostly regarding data quality, which may becaused by various factors, including interfering compounds, signal drift, and temperature/humidity effects. In some cases, an algorithm is needed to adjust the raw sensor data appropriately.
This session invites submissions related to low-cost air quality sensors and their applications. Topics in this session are expected to cover cutting-edge sensor technologies and applications, such as
- Development and testing of next-generation sensors
- Field and laboratory-based sensor evaluations
- Innovative sensor calibration methods
- Mobile survey, hyperlocal mapping, and modeling
- Air Quality sensor network management
- Application to remote sensing and health effect assessments
- Sensor data fusion
