Frontiers in Electromagnetic (EM) Geophysics
Frontiers in Electromagnetic (EM) Geophysics
Session ID#: 123925
Session Description:
In this general session, we call for contributions on all aspects of Electromagnetic (EM) Geophysics, including theory, laboratory measurements of rock/mineral resistivity, instrumentation, and development of new methodologies for processing, modelling, and inversion. We seek presentations on the application of diverse EM methods to imaging the Earth at multiple spatiotemporal scales and focus areas, from regional studies of active fault, tectonic and magmatic systems, to searching for or characterizing conventional/unconventional resources, to investigating small-scale structures relevant to environmental, engineering, and hydrological problems. Studies with land, marine, and satellite data are all welcome. Multidisciplinary studies e.g., combining EM with other geophysical and geological methods in a complementary manner to achieve a more holistic understanding of solid Earth systems, or with space physics to better understand the Earth’s electromagnetic environment, are particularly encouraged.
