Science and Applications Enabled by Remote Sensing Data Fusion and Time Series Analysis

Session ID#: 124361

Session Description:
Remotely sensed time series data from various platforms at different spatial-temporal resolutions brings both challenges and opportunities for high spatial resolution and near-real-time mapping. The recent development of data fusion and time series analysis creates new science and applications in fields such as smart farming, natural resources management, and smart cities. Smart Farming uses fused time series data for more productive and sustainable production and conservation. Similarly, data fusion and time series analysis has made sustainable management of natural resources and cities possible. We have witnessed continuous successes in crop health monitoring, yield prediction, land cover and land use change detection, forest health assessment, urban/suburban characterization, and more. This session will focus on showcasing methodologies and applications for the use of data fusion and time series analysis. We invite you to share findings and discuss how science and technology advancements will contribute to sustainable agriculture, natural resources, and urban systems.
