ED003
Amazing Technologies and Capabilities That Contribute to STEAM

Session ID#: 157004

Session Description:
NASA and other agencies play an essential role in Education and Communication to inspire, engage and educate. The remarkable science discoveries, knowledge, and research are shared with audiences through a variety of technologies such as web portals, mobile apps, VR/AR applications, citizen science/crowdsourcing applications, and the serving of NASA and other data sets as commodities for use by advanced visualization facilities including planetariums. This contributes to improving teaching and learning, increasing scientific literacy of the general public, and enriching STEAM efforts. This session presents talks and demonstrations that describe existing capabilities, technologies, tools and facilities that contribute to Education, Engagement and Communication; exciting projects and programs in development; and what other awesome technology ideas that will greatly benefit Education, Engagement, Communication, and STEAM.
