ED026
Performance Art for the Sciences: Poetry, Dance and Other Creative Media

Session ID#: 158511

Session Description:
It is frustrating to shoehorn years of research into a short talk or poster. Sometimes the passion you feel or the exciting implications of your work are best conveyed creatively. Participants from all career stages are welcome to submit videos or present in person, with submissions of music, theatre, dance and other creative arts. We will accept poems and other spoken works up to five minutes in length. For dance and other works of acting, you can recruit as many friends as you like, you must appear in the video, and submissions may be 8 minutes. Videos should contain sufficient captioning to enable the audience to understand the motivation for your research and the findings that bring you joy. Note that the abstract submission for this session should include an approximate title, presentation mode, and broad subject, but not the performance video or the text of the spoken work itself.
