Low-Tech and High-Impact Hands-on Activities: Minimizing Barriers to Facilitating STEM Content to Diverse Audiences
Session ID#: 159129
Session Description:
Whether you’re trying to stay within a budget, searching for ways to reach younger (or older!) audiences, or expanding accessibility to diverse learners, low tech solutions are often an effective path. This session will highlight work from the field utilizing low-tech hands-on activities to reach diverse audiences with high-impact STEM learning. Presenters in this session will include practitioners, evaluators, researchers, and organizations who are innovating methods to highlight earth and space science for audiences from pre-k to grey. Activities, resources, methods to define outcomes, currently targeted audiences, and evaluation and research results will be discussed during this session.
