Advancing User and Institutional Skills to Use Earth Observations in Climate Services, Adaptation, and Mitigation

Session ID#: 161545

Session Description:
To enable transformative climate decisions and actions that lead to improved climate resilience, climate services, climate adaptation strategies, and climate mitigation strategies, the Earth Observation (EO) community needs to focus on advancing individual and institutional capacity to apply EO information. Based on the needs and priorities of users around the world, capacity development approaches including co-development, evidence from successful use cases, training and innovative approaches are urgently needed. This session will provide a forum for networks, organizations, and individuals to share approaches, good practices, new initiatives, and case studies that will contribute towards a greater understanding and adoption of EO for climate adaptation and mitigation. Submissions with a gender or socially inclusive focus are encouraged.
